I am a teacher in a secondary school with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education specialising in Home Economics
and Elements of Office Administration.
I also hold a Bachelor's Degree in Religious
Education. Currently I am one of two teachers in charge of prefects and am also involved in the disciplinary committee at school.
My involvement with families started in 1993 with the setting up
of a parent support group that provided family and
parenting education and support for all who attended.
My role had been of facilitator with leading discussions
and inviting various speakers to speak on myriad issues. We had speakers who
were gynaecologists, optometrist, psychologists,
dental health personnel, general practitioners and nutritionist.
I am married with 2 lovely children, both in their teens. My husband and I were both involved with preschool
children and their families in church.
