Updates on June 99' Trip
As time is limited, I've managed to survey 2
resorts and will come out with details about them, from the stay, what
they offer, what kind of food offered, the facing of their stretch of
beach front, and many more, plus interviews, stay tuned!
Just back from Redang and guess what, the
baby sharks are still around, the green turtles can be seen at Turtle
Bay, there were reports of turtles mating in the water! On the
way to Turtle Bay, there were shouts of "sharks, sharks" and
hey....it turns out to be our friendly dolphins, around 6-8 of them
sighted at a short distance from our boat. At Turtle Bay, as I
was trying to look out for turtles at the seabed, one of them was actually
right ahead of me!
Here's the Highlight of the Sightings

Marine Park
They've recently imposed a RM5 charge for
visiting the park. The ticket is good for 5 days. Addition
to the past is a ship wreck where lots of nice corals can be seen, very
interesting actually. Moral eel sightings were reported, at least
two of them. The giant garoupa is found here too, under one of
the big table like corals, on the right half with respect to the boat
entering the marine park. You'll have to be lucky to see these
creatures actually. And another thing is that the stretch of marine
park is extended too. So if you're there, get prepared to see
lots of beautiful corals and fishes.
Believe IT or Not ! - one more thing, Being an
avid snorkeller, I've been to many islands, and this is the one that
I can say there're no sandflies, no sea bugs n no sea urchins, can you
believe it? The above experience is by snorkelling, NO DIVING required
as I've received enquiries asking about more details on the diving trip!
