Physics Site, Microsoft OFFICE 2000 and A New Zone

Beyond fixing computers and (trying to) teach good Physics... Jason is working on setting up his Physics resource site... Long awaited, but how to find the time? Meanwhile, I've discovered this really cool teaching site for science and health education. (Thanks Suan!) Click here:

www.brainpop.com

Science Teachers: Did you know that Crocodile Clips is ranked the TOP selling and best used software in the Science/Technology Education world? I've got a whole list of other software which are being used in schools across US and UK... Email me to get it... it's a BIG PDF file. For the Croc-Clip uninitiated... Click on to: http://www.crocodile-clips.com/

Jason is still REALLY impressed with the new Office suite from Microsoft... even though we ain't got it yet! Amazing, man. True web-interactivity. I hear Adobe has something along those lines, but probably have quite a long way to go. Take note, however, Office 2000 is not for the ram-poverished PC. Poor thing, happening software like this gotta come out before the Great Taiwan Earthquake. Otherwise, all of us will be scrambling to soup up our RAM.

Meanwhile, for those of you always scrambling to get the best price of your hardware... check this site out: www.hardwarezone.com It's essentially a site which summarises price$ at Sim Lim Square outlets for different gadgets and PC peripherals... Just got a great deal on RAM for $85 - 128Mb PC133... Yummy..!

WOK WITH CHIN

Jason's gone beyond improving on his Brownies and is now working on some Chocolate Chip cookies... will try muffins soon, but have to get some muffin trays first.

Bee Kim's perfected the gentle art of frying bee hoon and can now whip up some REALLY mother-in-law worthy delicacies. Sure beats the nuts out of hostel food and BK Double Whoppers!

MEANWHILE, Jason's been on the lookout for some recipe websites. His search so far has brought him to some very versatile and cook-friendly sites. Howzabout:

MUMs TO BE, take note. There's this really cool book in the bookstores titled: "THE CHINESE PREGNANCY AND CONFINEMENT COOKBOOK" by Ng Siong Mui. A must read for those wanting to get by their first few (vomitty) months without starving to death. Also has great confinement recipes for those in need of them. The publisher is LANDMARK BOOKS and we bought ours for $24.99 from Borders. Better still, get it off the Net at www.acmabooks.com or www.mphonline.com

Anybody know where to get great Chicken Rice Wine in Singapore? Last good stuff we got was from Cousin Meng's husband's secretary's contact in KL...

Jason's still busy writing stuff for skool, Bee Kim's even more stressed looking out for stuff happenning IN skools... hmmm... can't talk much at home these days, as I (don't think) I've signed the OSA...!
