Free Stuff - The List!!!

By accessing this page (whether directly or indirectly), you are deemed to have agreed to the "Free Stuff - Terms & Conditions". Click on the previous hyperlink if you want to read 'em (again).

Unfortunately, I have not learnt how to use "forms" yet. Until I do so, I'm afraid that requests for free stuff have to be made via e-mail. At the barest minimum, you have to give me the following info: (1) your name; (2) your snail-mail address (so I can send the materials to your home - no charge!); and (3) the item(s) you want. It'd be nice if you could also divulge some personal details about yourself, but rest assured that I will not pester or "follow up" on you unless you give me the "green light" to do so.

All e-mail requests must be sent to kelvchia@mbox4.singnet.com.sg

I do not accept donations, but if you feel that you want to contribute something, kindly consider dropping a few bucks into the "poor-box" in church, or giving to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and/or Catholic Welfare Services. "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35)

If you don't find anything on the list of items which you particularly want, you can also e-mail and tell me the specific title or subject-matter you're looking for. Most of the descriptions used below are taken from blurbs on the items themselves.

The Catholic Church has the Answer (Paul Whitcomb)

(booklet, 60 pp.) Answers to many, many questions most often posed to Catholics. Excellent and informative. Imprimatur. Explains exactly what Catholics believe - and why! Covers the Bible, Tradition, the true Church, the Mass, the Eucharist, Purgatory, prayer to Mary, repetitious prayer, faith and works, how to attain salvation, indulgences, the Inquisition, the confessing of sins to a priest, infallibility of the Pope, the Seven Sacraments, divorce, birth control, priestly celibacy - and much, much more! Fills a great need. Packed with facts and Scripture quotes. For Catholics, Protestants, and unbelievers!

Confession of a Roman Catholic (Paul Whitcomb)

(booklet, 55 pp.) In this booklet, author Paul Whitcomb, a former Protestant minister, reveals how he was led to the Catholic Church by a thorough and studious reading of the Sacred Scriptures. Here he recounts the gripping, step-by-step process of spiritual puzzle-solving that finally culminated in his seeing that it is in fact the Roman Catholic Church which is the true Church of Jesus Christ - the Church which the Lord Himself founded upon Peter, the Prince of the Apostles, and which He promised to be with until the End of Time and against which "the gates of Hell" would not prevail; that it is the Church which continues to promulgate the selfsame Gospel of Jesus Christ since Our Divine Master ascended into Heaven. The author not only substantiates his arguments from the Bible, but shows in the process that it is the Catholic Church and her teachings which are based upon Scripture and not Protestant beliefs.

Pillar Of Fire, Pillar Of Truth

(booklet, 30 pp.) Jesus established the Catholic Church especially for you. He set it up as your spiritual home, He provided it with everything you need, and He wants you in it. The Catholic Church guides you as the pillar of fire guided the Israelites when they escaped from bondage. They had a guide they could trust, and now so do you. Your guide is trustworthy because it teaches as Jesus taught. This is why the Bible calls the Catholic Church the "pillar and foundation of truth." Jesus has a special plan for you, one He wants you to perform through His Church. This booklet explains Jesus' plan and how you can know the Catholic Church is where you belong.

Quizzes To A Street Preacher (Bible, Confession, Eucharist, Purgatory, True Church, Virgin & Statue "Worship", etc.) (Fr. Chas. M. Carty & Rev. Dr. L. Rumble, M.S.C.)

(booklets, 32 pp.) "Quizzes To A Street Preacher" are 10 pamphlets on subjects people most often ask about the Catholic religion. They are written by Fathers Rumble and Carty of Radio Replies Press fame, experts in the field of apologetics and convert-making (Father Rumble was himself a convert). Each one is a 32-page, vest-pocket booklet of questions and answers that are brief, economically written and right to the point - no wasted words. Subjects covered are the Bible, Purgatory, Indulgences, Confession, Marriage, Hell, Birth Prevention, the Eucharist, the True Church, and Virgin and Statue Worship. People who do not have time to read a whole book will find these pamphlets ideal for learning more about the Catholic religion. Packed with information, they are easy to read and reasonably priced. And, taken together, they form a unique, comprehensive view of the Catholic religion as a whole. Comparable to nothing else and in very plain terms, these pamphlets will really explain the religion to non-Catholics and will help Catholics explain and defend their Faith to others.

Confession: A Little Book For The Reluctant (Msgr. Louis Gaston de Ségur)

(booklet, 68 pp.) We are all at least a little bit reluctant about going to Confession, principally because none of us really wants to face the fact that he or she is not perfect. But a host of other reasons can also arise to suggest themselves to various people as to why they should not go to Confession. In this little booklet, Msgr. de Ségur, an eminently popular French Catholic writer of the 19th century, has assembled over 30 such common objections and has answered them all - with kindness, with wit and with wisdom - so that there remains to the mind of the reader no reason at all why he should neglect going to Confession, and why, moreover, he should not go to Confession often!
