Motorola V60
Motorola has confirmed it will bring its V.60 clamshell phone into Singapore. The GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) triband phone has similar features as its sibling, the V.66, launched in late August. The major difference between the two is that the V.60 has a second LCD on the front of its active flip cover. Its blue backlit screen accommodates a one-line display which identifies the caller. When the phone is on standby mode, the date and time are displayed instead. Unlike the softer colors of the V.66, the V.60 sports a strong black-over-silver metal housing. It is slightly bulkier than the V.66. And at 103g, the V.60 is significantly heavier than its 79g brethan. Additionally, the V.60 comes in an anodized metal casing, unlike the plastic frame of the V.66. Both phones feature one uplink and four downlink time slots for GPRS. The phone is currently available in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In Singapore, it is expected to be launched later this year. The local price was not also unavailable at press time, but the Hong Kong list price for the V.60 is about US$500 (S$867). It is clear is that people looking for a new Motorola clamshell will soon have their options doubled.
JSS Blue color looks super View the blue color in the Motorola U.S. Web site. It costs US$499 or S$900 without a line or contract. Very stylish, can't wait for this to be launched. I am waiting for the blue color version.
Very bad I have never had confidence in Motorola's products since I used the 6188 Accompli phone. I had to send the phone in for servicing about five times. In the end, I gave up on it.
Samsung clamshell is more robust To Afiza. You should check out the phone
yourself before dismissing it. The Samsung SGH-A100, A200 and A300 construction
is much better than any Motorola clamshell. The SGH-A300 is even guaranteed
for 50,000 flips and the frame has a five-year warranty.
