I don't know how to play the piano, (I think I'll flunk Grade I) however, with the help of my trusty Mac SE/30, I've been able to play some simple pieces.
MIDI Setup:
I currently have a KORG Wavestation EX, Proteus/1 and a Yamaha PSS 480 as my metronome. All the keyboards are hooked up via MIDI to my Mac. On the Mac I'm using Opcode's Studio Plus Two as my MIDI Interface, and Performer ver. 3 as my sequencer. I have also tried to import the MIDI files into General MIDI on the PC. Here's two of them:
1. Beauty & the Beast
2. Any Dream will Do
I have done several other pieces, but I didn't have any reason to downgrade to the PC yet. The above piece can be played on Media Player if you have a sound card properly set up.
