This used to be the motherboard for my SE/30. It has functioned continously for *5 YEARS* without crashing on me. It has however reached the end of its natural life and was replaced (within 10 minutes, first unscrew to last tightened screw).
The Macintosh, I would say, is incredibly stable and reliable platform. It's also incredibly versatile. I bought this unit 5 years ago, and today it's happily running System 7.1 and MS Word 5.1. It just wouldn't crash (except once so far) when it's running proper software. (By improper I mean software that was written 10 years ago)
Even though I own both platforms, I would still say that the Mac is still better over the PC (even over Windows 95 & all the GPF's).
