Half a year in the mooting...

2 months in the making...

Completed a day (or issit days) before the anniversary mass...

Still further editted in the wee hours of the actual mass day...

This has got to be one of the most stressful song I've worked on, but also one of my most satisfied.
Coz this is the only song which got down to the 'actual production', or rather performance, complete with instrumental accompaniment.

It marked my first step into quite a few things. The first full song I wrote, the first song (so far the only) that I arranged the music for, & the first to be written in 3 languages (the last verse is actually in cantonese). & I guess it was many firsts too for my friends who helped perform this song, with much adapting to last minute surprises. 0:-D

I'm very glad that it was for the meaningful occasion of my parents' celebration of love.

In a way this song is a mixture of the reflection of my parents' love as a couple & a projection of my own personal hope for my future marriage, if I'm blessed with one. It's definitely not easy to write a song about someone else's r/s (nothing beats being in the r/s to know what it's really like), made more dificult by the fact that the composer has no experience in r/s.
But with God's blessings I guess I was still able to come up with something that my parents can identify with. 0:-)

Hmm.. we've got lotsa songs for weddings, but anniversaries? hahaha... Necessity is the mother of all creation. 0;-P

Hear the song.
