Banishment Song

Banishment Song

All stand, my riders surround
and rise over, and recite
The songs, won't you come around
and speak to me, and entice
Or sit with me or talk to me
Where the spoken, by my side
As I fumble with these words,
I call
sometime, once again and before
Why have you deserted the
curly writings of my arm
stretching and-race, and
never again meet a friendly face
as you have been in some old ways
Then it must be lost, thus
my riders racing past these
cool windy hands
Remember once, a shiny slight
of the moon,
and the twinkling eyes in
the nite,
Be my guide and be true to
the christening ships of
my time
Let me live or not let me
see you once again,
Once before, the lands
will rise over and recite
The Songs Of The Rustling Feet.
