Some time people sent you E-mail with very big file attachment and happen that you have already received the file attachment before or your mail box had been flooded. You can acutally connect to our local ISP using telnet to their POP3 server.eg mbox4.singnet.com.sg , pacific.net.sg (please refer to your ISP for the address their POP3 server name) and view the content of the file and delete it .

Here a simple guide in which you can delete those mail which you don't wish to received. First in the task bar click on to "START" then click on " Run.." key in the word "telnet".

After the telnet have been loaded , click on to "Connect" then click on "Remote system..." ,then there will be a window showing up.

In the host name box ,type in the name of the POP server which you want to connect to ,eg mbox4.singnet.com.sg ,pacific.net.sg. Then in the Port box , type in 110 . Finally click on to the button "Connect" .

After connecting , you will need to use the following commands :

user user_name  -the server need to know your user name
pass you_E-mail_password -and then your password
list  -list the content in your mail box
    retr mail_number -view message ***
    dele mail_number -delete message
    quit -quit the connection
Note*** when you view the message , attachment might show in binary form and take long time to view .When you see this happen , click on "Connect" and then "Disconnect" to stop viewing .

1-After successful connection these words will be show.
2-After the command "user user_name" these words will be show.
3-After the command "pass pass_word" these words will be show.
4-After the command "list mail_number" these words will be show
    5-mail number
    6-mail size.

Suggested way of viewing is to use forwarding service by the local ISP when it forward your mail to other E-mail address and at the same time keep a copy on your mail box, like internet base E-mail address or your school/work account to view it .
