The first prototype H-Bridge Controller of the project was test and able to control two 6V DC Motors both forward and reverse direction.

 

The H-bridge allows bidirectional control of a DC motor. To achieve this, it uses four transistors. Consider each transistor as simple on and off switch, as shown in the top portion of the below figure.

 

 

When switches SW1 and SW2 are closed, the motor rotates in one direction. When switches SW2 and SW3 are closed, the motor rotates in the opposite direction. When the switches are opened, the motor is stopped. Replace the switches with transistors and that is an electronic H-Bridge.
