| Dr. Liu Xiong is a senior staff engineer of research & development of Seagate Technology. Since joining Seagate Technology in 1997, he authored eight technical papers published in Journal & Conference and holds 14 trade secrets, 23 US patents, 13 pending US patent and 1 Singapore patent, his patented inventions involve various aspects of disc drive design. He was inducted into Seagate¡¯s Technology Hall of Fame for two times. Dr. Liu Xiong holds two roles - a Senior Staff Engineer of research & development and Master Black Belt. As a senior staff engineer, one of his main areas is predicting the technical requirements for the new product of hard disc drive and staging the new technology. As CMBB, he supports all of BE (business excellence) activities in Seagate Science Park Design Center, conducts design for six sigma(DFSS), six sigma and design for reliability(DFR) training and coaches Black Belts (BBs). Dr. Liu Xiong received his PhD from Xian Jiaotong University in 1991. Prior to his career in Seagate Technology, he has accumulated rich experiences in dynamic system analysis, vibration and acoustic, digital signal processing and hard disc drive application. |
