My name is Chueng Lai Lin. I am a Singaporean. I've been working for about nine years already. Work occupies most of my life. I travel on business at least 60% of the time, visiting many of the countries in the Asia Pacific region. I've been to Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and India within a short period of two years. Although I like going abroad, I prefer travelling for pleasure than for business.

I must say that I find Taiwan quite enjoyable. Although I've been there only four times, there is already a strong sense of familiarity. The food is fantastic and the people very warm and friendly. I got a chance to meet my favourite pop stars like Jeff Chang and Emil Chau.

New Zealand is a very relaxing and scenic place. I had the good fortune to spend a weekend there during a business trip. I went on a cruise and watched dophilns swim. It was great fun!

And then I signed up for a part-time course at the Singapore Polytechnic .............. I had to adjust life quite a bit. It is really quite challenging to juggle between work and attending evening classes three times a week. I realized quite soon that I have to dedicate my weekends to studying and doing schoolwork. Nevertheless, it has been quite worth the while. I enjoy the classes and meeting new friends. It is a different and nice feeling being together with friends for a learning purpose compared to being with friends at work. I've completed two projects with my project teams and sat for an exam already. I did not like sitting for the exam, and never liked exams anyway. However, I enjoyed the project work thoroughly. Its been only eight weeks of study but the experience is so far satisfying and fulfilling.
