A slight warning. Two of these high-scoring essays were heavily influenced by Jeffrey Archer's A Twist in the Tale. In fact, the first even has the same character name. Basically these two have the same plot as short stories within the abovementioned book. Don't be too disgusted, I was trying out a new style. My third is something I wrote in approximately 20 minutes, I didn't really like very much, but surprisingly my English teacher gave it a higher grade than the previous two copied works. After that I had an examination and did a stinky piece but well it's still more than 75% so here it is.
Otherwise, I'd just list and briefly summarize my works, sorted by year. Titles reflect essay question, some are like 'write an essay about saying goodbye' while others are 'write an essay beginning with I should have listened to them', I'm sure you can figure them out.
1999
3 poems [10/10] - My first (and
to date, only) poems which have won any sort of praise from others (in
particular, my Literature teacher), I'm somewhat ashamed to say that I
completed it in 10 minutes and only chose to do that particular question
as I'd thought it was extremely easy to cough up three poems in response
to a particular text (I'd read R K Narayan's The painter of signs).
However, my teacher scribbled in the bottom right corner, 'Well done. Nice
poems. I'd like a copy, please for my file.' Which felt extremely nice.

Saying Goodbye [36/40]- Based
on Archer's Christina Rosenthal, this is basically wholesale plagiarism.
I'm not too proud of that, but it makes for a nice read anyway due to the
beauty of the original story. This serves as an abridged form of the story,
so I think I'm not breaking any laws here. Please tell me if I am
before taking legal action.
After School [36/40] - Once again based on an Archer story (I believe it was called We are just good friends), this has more original elements. But largely because the nature of the question demanded it. Still not too proud of it, but more so than the previous one.
Jealousy [37/40] - Original story! Whoah. This is the one I'd said was done in 20 minutes. The shortest of the lot. The main thing I wonder about it (aside from how it'd scored so high) is how Cambridge examiners would react to a derogatory stereotype of the English gentleman.
I should have listened to them [32/40] - Sulk. My poorest-scoring, shortest and lousiest. Done under exam conditions, but the rest kinda were too... hmm. Anyway I just took a brainless stereotype and developed it crazily. So it stinks. Read to find out what writer's block can do to your stories. I just hope the same thing doesn't happen for O-levels.
