Welcome to our Home On-line.
Thanks for staying with us, and allowing us to share our joy and excitement even as we welcome our "bundle of joy" to our world! Stay with us, as we bring you through our experiences.
With Love,
Richard & Makiko.
28th October 2000: Makiko's Mum arrived to "standby" to help us.
Our baby was expected to "arrive" on 8th November 2000. Makiko's mum will be with us throughout this whole period, until past our baby's full month celebration. We were so blessed, as we got so much luxury and good food that we seldom had chance to cook nor eat. This photograph was taken immediately after arrival in Singapore, at Sento Japanese Restaurant in East Coast.
Mum, and a radiant and pregnant Makiko.
29th October 2000: Richard's parents visited us at our home.
Makiko's mum will be staying with us in our little home. Richard's parents came over to visit us, bringing for us also birds nest frequently. Ohhh... the "perks" of an expectant mother...

4th November 2000: A lovely afternoon at the park.
We managed to find time to enjoy our time "awaiting" our baby's arrival with occasional picnic trips to Labrador Park near our home, as it was not so convenient for Makiko to travel too far.

8th November 2000: The time is now!
As our baby has more or less reach a size and growth rate sufficient for birth, Dr Chan advised us to induce our baby to avoid complications with having an "over-developed" baby in Makiko. So here we are ... in Gleneagles hospital on the night of 8th November 2000.
Checked into Bed 524.
9th November 2000: This is the DAY!
Still no indication from our baby that he wants to come out from the wonderfully comfortable place in Makiko, so he will be "encouraged" ... medically, that is ...and finally, after a 4-hour labour, an amazing expert on forceps, an umblical cord around the baby's neck, another expert reception by Dr Chan, HERE HE IS... OUR BABY BOY ! ! ! It was a miracle happening right in front of my eyes...
Our BABY BOY ! ! ! 2495 gms, 49cm.
Whew... everybody's fine; Mummy, Baby, Daddy, except I do remember Dr Chan's reply when Richard asked "How are they?". "They're OK, but I'm NOT!" he replied, as he cleared out the over-matured placenta.
Awwwww..... ! ! !
Back into the room after a good rest in the delivery suite for all: Mummy, Daddy, and Baby.
Isn't he lovely??!
