Have you wondered why life existed on Earth? If you have not, then it is time you do some thinking. The existence of the universe remains a mystery since the beginning of mankind. Another question which mankind wanted an answer is “Is man alone in this universe?” In order to unravel the mysteries of life, man strives to understand the world he is living in. Languages are invented to communicate with one another and to leave a record for generations to come to explore. We have the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and the present day English, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Latin, Spanish and so on. Curiosity makes man discover and learn new things. This gave birth to the amazing inventions like the telephone, the computer, the aircraft, and many more. The advent of these inventions allows man to trade and communicate with one another. Mankind’s survival instincts gathered people from diverse trades to form civilizations that sustain life. With the advances in technology, the size of civilization grew from the thousands to the millions, from villages to metropolises. It is really amazing to think of how life on Earth evolved into such diversity all formed from the same biomolecules (carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, phosphorous and sulphur). We have microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi, protozoan, algae and virus, and macro organisms such as plants and animals. Each of these groups of organisms have their own natural habitat and are interdependent on one another for survival. If this have not start making you think, then read on.
Life is full of choices, like which schools to go to, which career path to take, what to eat, and so on. And so it seems... Choices are often made based on right and wrong, ethical and unethical. Sometimes people hold on to some beliefs and ideals so dearly that they are not aware of. The world just revolves around those things until they realize that they should have let go long ago. If you are sure what is right and what is wrong, think again. Take for example, it is not right to kill another person. But why is it right to kill another person in war or being a law enforcer in the line of duty? Who decides what is right and wrong? The majority? Another example would be who decides who is entitled to a piece of land or a country. Do the natives own the land or the people who drove them away do? Nothing is as simple as it seems. One have to understand the "rules of the game" and play by it in order to survive in this world.
