| Karaoke Session |
Sept 1998 |
The Karaoke session
on last saturday has been a good one. Really want to thank the first year
juniors for their efforts to book the facility. Everything turned out
fine, except the second mike and those old-fashioned songs. Still, we
managed to sing along, though the whole session had been dominated by some
'prominent' singer (watch out... Min Tin!! ;-). Thanks also to Keen Mun.
He had worked very hard in playing the songs from LD.
In fact, I am quite amazed by their talents to sing. Initially I thought I
could show off a bit of my flair in singing. But people like Min Tin (who
sang very loud and clear), Kean Fei (who could surprisingly manage high
pitch) and Lip Tat (who could micmic Andy Lau to a great extent) etc. had
definitely outshined everyone. Never mind, I might not perform well in
karaoke, but I do recognise my tender sound which I reserve to sing for my
loved one! ;-p
There is onething which could be improved for our next karaoke session. We
need to get more girls to participate!!! Serious, I am not joking. At
first I under-estimated the need of getting some girls to join in. But
when we were about to sing, complaints were voiced that we need some girls
to balance the male-dominated sound. Giving it a second thought, it really
makes sense to have some little sweet gentle sound for the event.
Fortunately, we managed to get two saviors at a later stage. The
atmosphere was greatly exhilarated when the first girl came into the dark
room. Even the singer raised his voice as a result (Aha...still remember
who he was ??). Guess we should focus on persuading the girls to come next
time! ;-) I have a proposal: "Every male participant should at least
bring in one girl if he wish to attend." How is it ? :-)
Exam is just around the corner. We should now calm down and get prepared
(both physically and emotionally) for the exam !
