Our
Company
Kenwell & Co (Pte) Ltd was established in May 1970 to engage in mainly
shipchandling services as well as participate in general import and export
business. Over the years, the Company has grown steadily to become one
of the leading shipchandling companies in Singapore.
Due to our experience and status in this industry, we had the honour
of one of our directors being elected as the President (1989-94) of the
Singapore Association of Ship Suppliers (SASS), the central body formed
by the ship chandlers of Singapore to oversee and standardise the practices
of the industry.
We are also a member of the prestigious International Ship Suppliers
Association (ISSA). Being the only official body of the industry on the
international level, applicants have to meet stringent conditions laid
down by the ISSA before being accepted as a member. We abide by the rules
and regulations of ISSA and our business practices are in accordance with
the ISSA Code of Ethics.
Our Business
Our Company had a humble beginning, operating from a small shop unit in
the central business district. As business expanded, operation was shifted
to an office and warehouse building with a total floor area of 5,166 square
metres located on the West Coast of Singapore where most port activities
and the main achorages are.
To maximise our Company's efficiency in meeting customer's needs, our
warehouse includes a cold room storage space for frozen provision and an
engineering workshop for repair and servicing work. Currently, the warehouse
holds approximately $3 million worth of inventory of popularly requisited
items.
To ensure that our operation is smooth and successful, we have the support
of an enthusiastic team of workers, from the managers right down to the
boarding officers, purchasing officers, administrative assistants, delivery
workers, and labourers. Each and everyone of us take on our role with pride
and commitment.
Our Services
We have the experience of supplying deck, engine, cabin, provision and
bonded stores and spares to vessels with Norwegian, Iranian, British, American,
Italian, Greek and Asian crew. We also have the expertise to provide customers
with ship-to-ship transfer service and the loading/unloading of heavy cargo
and equipment, supplying all the necessary equipment such as the high boom
crane, fenders, hoses and the mooring master. In addition, we provide ship
owners with repair and storage services for spare parts.
We maintain a professional commitment to provide customers with a 365
days a year, 24 hours a day service and this has been an important contributory
factor for our success today.
Apart from our Singapore head office, we also have fully operational
representative offices and agents in USA, UK, Norway, Greece, Italy, China,
Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, East and West Malaysia.
Our Other Specialities
YOKOHAMA Marine Products

We are the sole agent and regional service centre for Yokohama marine products,
particularly pneumatic/block fenders and hoses. 
We have the experience of repairing fenders overseas in countries such
as Brunei, Malaysia and Philippines. Even the largest fender in the world
measuring 4.5 x 10.5 metres has been repaired by our engineers at our premises.
FLOATEX Navigational Aids
We are the agent for Floatex navigational aids such as marine lanterns
and rotating beacons and consultant for the construction of steel light
buoys.
MARIX Mooring Load Monitor
We are the agent for the Marix mooring load monitoring system.
