Pie---The special number of a circle
What the hek is pie ? ? ?
Pie is a special number. It is the number of times of the diameter that its circumference is.
Since it is a non-recurring and non-ending number, humans have now officially (Maybe lah!), round off pie into 22/7 or 3.14.(This is definitely better than using the actual pie in the 50000 digits to calculate a circle.)
What number was pie in the early days ? ? ?
As far as I know, before 190, the Early Greek wrote pie as 3 1/7 and at about the A.D.190, the Chinese wrote pie as 3.14195, a five decimal point figure. Greek mathematician Archimedes asserted that the value of pie was between 3 10/70 and 3 10/71 and he was correct.
Have you wonder who invented or drew the pattern of pi ? ? ?
If you guess that Early Greeks drew the pattern, you are right. Early Greek use the patterns as pi long before you were born (but I am not so sure when they started using it).
How do you calculate using pi ? ? ?
That's simple! Simply used 22/7 or 3.14 (As pi) multiply by the radius square (Which means Radius times Radius) to get the circle's area. Simply use pi multiply by the diameter to get the circle's circumference.
