There are many input methods used in the Chinese softwares sold on the market.Amongst the methods are GB code and BIG5 code.The inputs involve selecting the wanted Chinese characters from tables listing all the common Chinese characters.The Chinese characters are represented by a group of four alpha-numeric characters. This is to facilitate computer keyboard input.For GB, the actual Chinese characters are represented by a group of different numbers according to their actual position in regions as defined below-:
