Dear fellow marketer, I found out that once you are able to drive traffic to your web site, the visitors will come and leave your website without a trace. They may never return again. Even if you have a very attractive product, shoppers will very rarely buy on the first contact unless there is a desperate need for it. They will procrastinate and delay their purchases. How do I go about keeping contact with these shoppers after they have left my website? According to marketing experts, to generate sales, we need to come into contact with your potential customers at least 3 times. In the first place, we need them to put down their details for our records. The solution is to have a software that can capture your potential customers details (e.g. name and email address) in an organized way and provide them with value added content, like a newsletter or ezine, through email. I surveyed the market and it came to two main vendors that offered email marketing software, Aweber and GetResponse. I preferred and chose Aweber, as it has a non intimidating, userfriendly interface. It is so easy to use that a lay person without any IT background can become an expert in such a short time without having to read too much of the manuals. The documentation in the form of text, pdf and video is very informative, clearly written and gets you up to speed very quickly. Aweber also send you emails informing you of latest features, enhancements and how to maximise your email campaigns. A welcome snail mail is sent to your door step thanking you for being their customer. That made me feel great. Last but not least is Aweber online real time support which provides excellent customer support. The customer representative will not quit till they get your question answered. Some of the other features I like about Aweber are:
