Description

Journey to Cameron Highlands  (Day 1)

We arrived at Konsortium tours to claim our tickets. The SVIP coach was scheduled to leave for Cameron Highlands at 10:30pm. To our delight, the coach driver told us that both of us were the only ones onboard. We were treated like VIPs as we have the whole coach to ourselves. At 10:30pm, we made our way to the Tuas check-point. Over at Johor we had another immigration check.

At about 1am, we arrived at Yong Peng Johor for supper. There was a change in driver.

Although we were asleep, we could feel the coach negotiating turns around the bends as it ascended the hills of Cameron Highlands.

At 7am, we arrived at Brinchang, a small city near our hotel. We went for breakfast and shared a bowl of hot bak kut teh soup with rice and shredded chicken noodle. The air was cold as it was below 20 degrees.

Back in the coach, we were approached by a tour operator who showed us brochures of short day tours of Cameron Highlands. We selected the 'Nature Discovery Tour' and 'Agro Delight Tour', a value for money package. The coach brought us to Hotel Equatorial and we checked in.

Sightseeing on our own (Day 1) At 4pm, we left the hotel and explored the surroundings. We walked to Market Sqaure where u can get fresh strawberries, tomatoes, corn, vegtables etc at good prices. We walked past Raaju Strawberry Farm, Rose Centre, Orchid Rose Garden, Butterfly Garden, Butterfly Farm, Green Farm, Rose Valley, Honey Bee Farm and took pictures. We walked back to Market Square and had dinner at Restoran Makanan & Minuman with sumptuous cooked food and Cameron tea. After dinner, we headed back to our hotel before dark. We took a peek at the indoor pool and gym provided by the hotel.
Sightseeing on our own (Day 2) This morning we had a great breakfast at the hotel. A combination of western and chinese cuisine awaited us. We wanted to sit outside at the terrace to enjoy the morning damp air, however it was really cold and we came back in. After a hearty breakfast, we walked into a strawberry farm. We then walked down the road and gone into Cactus Point. Cactus of all shape and sizes were on display. We returned to Market Square for lunch and bought a few ready packed strawberries and tomatoes and headed back to the hotel.

Journey to Singapore (Day 3)

After breakfast, we boarded the coach and left the hotel at 9am. It took a full hour for us to descend the hills of Cameron Highlands. The roads were narrow unlike Genting Highlands and some edges has no road barrier to prevent vehicles from slipping off the road.

At 12pm we stopped over for lunch and 4pm stopped over for tea break at Yong Peng.

We enjoyed the on-board entertainment system and caught two movies, Scary movie 5 and Mission Impossible 3.

We reached Singapore at 7pm bringing home all the wonderful memories and pictures of our Cameron Highlands tour package.
