South Korea Tour Package in summer

8D 6N South Korea tour package Jul 07

Description

Day 1 Singapore - Seoul

We assembled at Changi International Airport two hours before 10:50pm for our flight to Seoul Incheon International Airport on Korean Airlines (KAL). TheSingapore representative gave us our air-travel booking details and told us to keep it as we need it to generate the return air tickets. Their Korean counterpart who will be our tourist guide will meet us at Incheon International Airport.

There is a Korean immigration regulation that we cannot bring in more than 100 ml of liquid in our (my wife and me) hand carry luggage. I was careless and left my Gillette shaving cream in our hand carry bag. Before boarding the plane, the security staff ran through our hand carry bag. He told me that we had to comply with regulations and threw the whole shaving cream away. I wasn't too please with my carelessness :).

The flight will take 6 hours to arrive at Seoul . It was exciting for us to fly as we have not been on a plane for ages. We managed to get a few hours restless sleep on the flight. At 3:45am, we were served breakfast on board. I savoured on the Korean delicatessen Bibimbarb

Day 4 Seoul - Korean hall of fame, Dongdaemun shopping multiplex

We took a domestic flight from Jeju back to Seoul . We experienced turbulence as we went through many dark clouds. It was raining when we arrived at Incheon International Airport and we were glad that the flight was over.

At Seoul city, we first visited the Korean hall of fame showcasing life size poster of many Korean celebrities.

Next we visited Dongdaemun shopping multiplex which is one of the largest in Seoul . The first 4 stories offered women's cloths, footwear and accessories. The 5th story offered men's cloths, footwear. The 6th offered children's cloths and 7th offered souvenirs for tourists. If you are a shopaholic, you will be spoilt for choice. However you will not know which shop gives the best value for money as they sell similar items and your head will spin after exploring the place.

It took 2 hours bus ride to reach Kangwon Land to have our dinner. We travelled along the foot of the mountain and went up and down each mountain. After dinner, we went to our hotel Kangon Land Golf Resort.
