Description (Day 7)

Today we made our way to theKorea Ginseng shop which offers the best Ginseng in the world. Extended taking of Ginseng helps you to maintain good health and vitality. Our tour guide mentioned that his intake of Ginseng has helped him stay in good shape despite his heavy smoking habit. He would always take Ginseng whenever he is working. As it was costly, we did not purchase any even with the great coaxing of the sales staff.

Next we landed at Dongchunghacho showroom where many insects and grass were on display. They are known to boost ones immune system, help fight cancer, reduce fatigue and stress.

After that we were at the Amethyst factory to view the many magnificent gem stones. It would be a girl’s dream to own one. It hardly interest us, however one couple in their 40s purchased a matching gem stone ring. That would cost a bomb we all thought.

From far, the Blue House looked like it had a green roof where it is blue in colour. This house is where the president of Korea resides, and it stands in front of Mt Bugaksan.

Across Seoul city hall stood the majestic Deoksugung Royal Palace . The main attraction inside the premises is the Junghwajeon which is the main throne hall of the palace where coronations and important ceremonies were held. It is also where the king sat where these events were held. When we were outside and about to leave the palace, we had the privilege to watch the change of duty for the guards of honour. It was a spectacle for us.

The last leg of the tour is to the “Daejanggeum” theme park, the set where they shot one of the most popular Korean TV dramas that gained international fame called Da Chang Jing. Relive scenes from the serial showed on the posters and get up close with the live size models of the casts. We were also treated to some Korean wine which was a real booster.
