Description (Day 2)

At 5:50am Korean time (SG 1 hour behind), we arrived at Seoul Incheon International Airport. We met our Korean tour guide. He spoke very fluently in Mandarin and Korean as his parents were from China, and they migrated to Korea. So, he was raised in Korea.

Our next flight to Jeju was at 11am. As Seoul city was more than an hour drive away, it was not a good idea to drive there and back. Instead, we toured the airport. At this time I bought a Nivea shaving cream for men and it cost S$12. That was costly I thought compared to Singapore. When we assembled back, we took a coach to Gimpo Airport for our 1 hour domestic flight to Jeju.

Upon arrival, our first stop was to Dokaebi Road aka Mysterious Road . What was so special about this road is that our eyes perceived the road to be slopping downwards hence you will accelerate, in reality you will decelerate. Conversely when our eyes perceived the road to be slopping upwards hence you will decelerate, in reality you will accelerate. We were given 4 proves:

a)      The coach we travelled in

b)      Pouring water on the road to see which direction it flowed

c)      With me riding a bicycle

d)     Using a balance gauge placed on the road to see which side the bubble goes

Our second stop was to Bunjae Park, a garden showcasing many designs of bonsai potted plants carved to various shapes and sizes. You could have a horse ride for a fee around the garden.

We proceed to out hotel to rest for a few hours. We slept like a rock as we did not have much sleep on the flight.

Our third stop was to Yongduam Rock. It was made of lava that cooled over the years and together forms the shape of a dragon flying across the sea.

We went for dinner.

Our last stop was to Central Underground Shopping Arcade. It was located next to our hotel Robero. This arcade stretched for about 1 km with two rows of shops selling mostly Korean fashion cloths. There were 2-3 souvenir shops. After that we headed back to the hotel for the night.
