Description (Day 3) |

|
After breakfast we proceed to Seongsan Sunrise Peak where we climbed to the top of the mountain. It was a challenge as it was a steep upward climb; however I did not see anyone give up. At the top, it gave us a beautiful breathtaking panoramic view of the town.
Next we went to Seopjikoji, the filming site of “All In”, one of the popular Korean TV dramas. The church at this site has been converted to a tourist attraction and a statue of Mother Mary keeps watch over the church. On the right of the church boasts a wonderful sea view and rock formation. | |

On the way to lunch, we stop by the Tangerine Orchard plantation. Some of the oranges were artificial and made of plastic. If you wonder deep into the orchard, you might get lost.
Immediately after lunch, about 100m away, we visited the Seongeup Folk Village. The animated village tour guide took us around the place. She spoke mainly Korean and could speak some mandarin as many Chinese tourists have visited them. Our tour guide translated every word she was saying from Korean to Mandarin. The most interesting fact I learned was that the villagers kept a black pig. This pig fed on snakes which was rampant in all such villages. She also showed us various types of honey that the villages took to maintain a healthy life and encouraged us to make a purchase. We also got to see the inside of a typical hut.
We visited the
Sanbanggulsa Buddhist
Temple which is half way up

The Yakcheon Temple sitting at the base of a rock mountain and overlooking the sea, boast many fine paintings of Chinese characters and beautifully crafted Chinese characters on stone hedge. Many statues of the goddess Guan Yin stood majestically outside the temple. |
