Like the Gayatri Mantra, there is another
great Vedic mantra. This is the
Maha Mrityunjaya
Mantra.
The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, as the name
suggests is a life giving and life sustaining mantra. It also leads
one to Moksha or the liberation of the soul from the bondages of
life on earth. Total Freedom.
In these days, when life is very complex,
accidents are an everyday affair; this Mantra wards off deaths by
snake-bites, lightning, car accidents, fire accidents, cycle

pronounced incurable by doctors are cured by this Mantra, when
chanted with sincerity, faith and devotion. It is a weapon against
all diseases. It is a Mantra to conquer death.
The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is also a
Moksha-Mantra. It is Lord Siva's Mantra. It bestows health (Arogya),
long life (Deergha-Aayu), Peace, (Shanti), Wealth (Aisvarya),
Prosperity (Pushti), Satisfaction (Tushti) and Immortality
