Mysterious Pi
What exactly is pi? Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. It i9s an irrational number. In about 3000 BC the Babylonians gave Pi as 3 and the Greek mathematician gave Pi as 3/1/7 and 3/10/71. Pi is constant. Here is an experiment to show that. On your note pad, write 3 columns heads: circumference, diameter. and pi. Choose a round object and measure its circumference and the diameter as well. Divide the circumference by the diameter and note the results under the column pi.
