Same area, different perimeter

Lay square biscuits with sides touching, to form a shape of your choosing. Measure the perimeter. Draw down the shape and note down the perimeter. Form another shape and draw down the shape and note down its perimeter again. Notice that the area remains the same while the perimeter changes!
