With the TCM Board’s introduction to its new set of regulations and code of ethics, and the government’s recent announcement to collaborate with the various Medical institutions in China so as to attract more medical talents from the country, more Cancer patients in Singapore are giving TCM a second thought.
In fact, historical documentations have proven that the treatment of Cancer has long been documented in the ancient field of Chinese Medicine. And various academic studies around the world have shown the positive effects of using TCM treatments.
Starting Monday, a new Mandarin radio segment on Capital 95.8FM will help cancer patients understand how TCM treatment can benefit them and complement their conventional therapy. The one hour weekly health segment hosted by Xu Bing will feature Associate Professor Hu Qian from Chengdu, who is currently the Anchor Physician at REN TCM Oncology Centre, a clinic set up by Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre in Camden Medical Centre.
Having over twenty years of clinical experience in the fields of Oncology, Forty-three year old Prof Hu Qian had been specially engaged to provide his TCM expertise in Singapore under a collaboration between Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre and the Chengdu TCM Board.
Graduated from the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1987, Prof Hu Qian was the Associate Professor of Chengdu Hospital of Integrated Traditional & Western Medicine, as well as a Part time Associate Professor at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In this radio programme, Professor Hu Qian will not only share with the listeners expert advice on how TCM can complement other treatments and help to improve the quality of lives of cancer patients, but also interact with listeners through answering call-ins.
This programme will be aired live on Capital 95.8FM every Monday at 10am.
