Let the days of my life all be spent with the Lord;
Let me dwell in His House and be fed with His Word.
Just to sit at His feet and look up to His face,
Filled in rapturous awe with the depth of His grace.
Every word that He says will be precious to me;
Every lesson to learn, Every mystery to see.
Like the life-giving streams on a parched desert plain,
Let His words flood my soul and refreshment regain.
Who in heaven can tell, who on earth can relate:
All the treasures the weary may find at His gate?
Far beyond all the wealth that this world can afford,
Is the worth of a lifetime just spent with the Lord!
With my heart brimming over with ebullient praise,
My soul, all its song of rejoicing, shall raise!
To the only wise God Who has caused me to be
Standing bold in His presence, His glory to see.
Let the days of my life all be spent with the Lord;
Let me dwell in His House and be fed with His Word.
Just to sit at His feet and look up to His face,
Filled in rapturous awe with the depth of His grace.
