Her Story
Back in Singapore, Celest made a name for herself as a model, considerably one of Singapore's top supermodels. Her face graced many magazine covers. Later she was cast in "Making Love", a sitcom by the Television Corporation of Singapore, a show's which theme song she sang for. She also recorded "The Earth Song" as part of an environmental awareness project in Singapore. She also filmed and sang for "Stand up for Singapore", a national theme song.
Soon, she was labelled the next big thing by the press and locals. Her next move was starring in Eric Khoo's "Stories About Love". And again, she sang for the movie's theme song. Celest was surely making progress in terms of acting and singing alike. The trend followed in her biggest role yet in a Mandarin drama series, "You Light Up My Life".
By then, she was talk of the town, doing guest celebrity appearances, being talked about on bulletin boards on the internet (even a IRC channel set up for her), and gracing even more magazine covers. People were eager to see more of Celest. Rival TV companies offered her equally attractive deals to sign her on. Celest chose Mediaworks' in a tie-up with Universal Music for the next two years of her career. Celest releases her Mandarin album on December 18!
Now Celest is on Mediaworks Mandarin Radio Station UFM 100.3FM on Thursdays and Fridays. Back from filming an upcoming Channel U/ATV production in China, watch her live performance at Hard Rock Cafe.
