This home page is created with a view to attract like minded people working / studying in the area of Mind Power and Development.
Let me give a little back ground as to how I got interested in Mind power in the first place. It so happened that in the year 1984 while I was working in Ghaziabad, a place near New Delhi, India, I met with an accident. It was a small accident but it affected me much because I lost one tooth in that accident and another got broken partly. At that time it came to my mind that if I did Yoga, probably it would give me enough strength at the time of such adversities. There was an ex-military man teaching Yaga in the locality where I stayed. I went and joined his course for two months. After some time I came to Calcutta, my home town, for a vacation. There I met one of my friends whom I casually mentioned that I was learning Yoga. He informed me that he was also practicing Yoga regularly for the past 2-3 years. He also handed me a book called Windmills of Mind by Paul Goldin saying that probably I would find the same interesting.
After getting this book I tried to read the same and found it to be too boring and beyond my understanding. This was around the year 1985. Those days in Calcutta there used to be lot of Bandhs. A Bandh means a day of no activity, in protest of some political decision. For example if the ruling party takes some decision which is not agreeable to the opposition, in order to show their protest they call a Bandh in the city, state or the whole country depending upon the issue involved. During a day of Bandh there would be a total standstill in the city. The buses wouldn't ply the taxies wouldn't run. On one such day, having nothing else to do, I started reading this book Windmills of Mind again. In the second reading it made some sense to me. Eversince then I must have read this book a number of times and still find this to be giving me a new message every time I read it.
My life has turned for the better ever since I reading and understanding this book. I used to be a negative talker earlier in my life, not knowing how it could be harmful to me. Today I refrain from doing that. Ever since 1985 I have read a number of books of similar kind and am still reading a few. Though I have made some advancement since 1985 in the sense that I am more calm and composed, I know that much more is still to be achieved.
I shall be glad to get in touch with like minded people who are studying this subject and to get their ideas as to what they think about Mind Power and Development and how we can enjoy a better and more accomplished life.
I would be grateful for insights, experiences strenghtening our belief and guidance from knowledgeable people along the line of Mind Power and Development.
