1. Introduction
RBC system is widely applied in municipal,
industrial wastewater treatment where a high degree of BOD5 and NH3 removal
is required. Our BioWrap RBC combines the largest structural components
standardly available with superior design to produce rugged RBC capable
to have 20 years lifespand. Our Engineering staff will provide the designer
with necessary assistance in developing the most efficiently sized RBC
system for his particular treatment requirement. Our patented spiral type
media arrangement provides the capability to custom design a system for
any application. |

2. Features
-
Shaft :
30 inch diameter and 3/4 inch thickness
pipe (largest shaft section modulus available in the industry) for full
size units and
24 inch diameter and 11/16 inch thickness
pipe for smaller units.
-
Bearing :
5, 5.5 & 7 inch diameter bearing
is also the largest available in the industry for full size units.
Self aligning, tapered roller or spherical
pillow block units
Minimum AFBMA B10
life degree of over 200,000 hours at normal rotation speed and load.
-
Media :
Vacuum formed HDPE continuously wound
to main shaft and thermally welded within itself to produce a self supporting
structure.
Every point of contact in the media
structure is welded to assure media strength
Stabilised with 1.5% catrbon black
to resist exposure to ultraviolet degradation.
Short air-water flow path media provide
good media scouring action and higher oxygen levels.
-
Drive Unit :
Triple reduction helical torque arm
reducer with service factor of 1.4
Reducer is driven through V-belts
by a 1~7.5HP motor to produce the desire rotation speed.
Speed variation can be obtained by
changing sheaves, a more economical and trouble free method than using
variable speed drives.
3. Advantages
