PC Optics introduces an innovative, low-cost device to convert Ocean Optics’ spectrometers into truly plug-and-play, portable and the first to enable process control and automation

This 12-bit A/D parallel port interface accommodates the S2000 series individual spectrometer channels (up to eight externally and two internally) for ultraviolet, visible and shortwave NIR spectroscopy (200-1,100nm) without any plug-in card, batteries or power adaptor. The accompanied software is designed to operate without any system configurations. The device provides eight independent programmable output pins, on-screen spectral comparison, programmable timed-recording and in-built wavelength calibration utilities. The complete system comes with a step-by-step easy-to-follow User’s Manual including introductory chapters to spectroscopy. The device should prove useful for teaching, research, data logging, process control and automation, embedded PC design, and other spectroscopy applications that demand high system stability, portability and reliability.
