Leng Joon Wong (b. 1947) graduated from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1964.An admirer of Sir W Russell Flint's watercolour paintings and the works of Andrew Wyeth and Dong Kingman, Leng feels that a "good painting should give the audience a fresh perspective, a unique focal point and be skillfully executed. I think a good painting should stimulate a viewer to stop and think as well as to appeal to his senses." Leng is a founding member of the Singapore Water-colour Society. His works was exhibited in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Manila, Taiwan, Japan, Moscow and the United States. In 1980, he received the watercolour award from the Society of Western Artists, San Francisco, USA.
