About Sri Kalki Peedum Society Sri Kalki Peedum Society
was officially formed on 22/7/98 in Singapore.A Peedum is a place where one stays and
spreads divine knowledge. Kalki is the name of the incarnation of God in Kaliyuga. When
moral law and justice subside tremendously, the incarnation of Kalki takes place to uphold
it. Hindus believe that praying to Sri Kalki in
Kaliyuga will save them from forthcoming changes of the world.
There are many charitable organizations helping the needy in many
ways. Our ultimate motive is to guide people in spiritual upgrading as much as we could and provide other social
services where feasible. We have Bhajan groups, Japas and meditation being practiced every
weekend for all age groups. The spiritual guidance is given by Sri Kalki Swamy.
About Sri Kalki Swamy
At the age of five, He was warded for a very high fever, from which
He recovered after being personally blessed by Lord Siva and Mother Sakthi. At the age of
nine, He started to meditate under a cherry tree, but was stopped by his mother who feared
for his actions. At the age of sixteen, His
feelings of devotion erupted. Mother Sakthi who has been with Him since the age of five,
like a shadow, became his Guru then. Sri
Kalki Swamy only believes in seeing the deities in person rather than just in photos or in
the form of statues. He practices many ways of prayers implemented by different religions
to confirm that there are such deities. He received their blessings too. He has many
disciples regardless of religion or race. They were taught ways to worship their religious
deities to invoke their blessings. The name Sri Kalki was given
to Him by Mother Sakthi at the age of 24. The secrets of His birth were found in palmyra
leaves / holy scriptures (Olai Suvadi) written by great Rishis such as Agasthiyar,
Vashistar, Kaakai Pojandar and others in India. Many contents in the scriptures show the
past, present and future happenings of Sri Kalki Swamy and these are somehow connected
with His life. But such information did not move Him at all. He still leads a normal life,
but as a Sanyasi, teaching His followers whatever He knows. He keeps a low profile and for
those who want to receive His blessing, He advises them to reach Him through meditation.
Self-RealizationSelf-realization is understanding oneself. Body, mind and soul are the vital parts in self-realization. They are linked to each other all the time till one reaches the stage of realizing that the soul (athma) is imperishable while the body is discarded after death.
Our ancestors encouraged idol worshipping, to control the restless mind. Arresting it to uphold itself to the focussed point. Placing the idol in our hearts and meditating on it with our feelings will control the thoughts from running wild. Love God like you love someone very dear to you. Talk to Him with your mind, feel Him close and within you. Such practices, one day, will make us realize that the Person whom you are meditating on will respond to your prayers and even guide you.
Bagavad Gita says that the soul never dies, it is not harmed by water, fire, wind, weapons or any others. It dwells in our heart and witnesses our good and bad deeds. When it enters the body it is called birth, when it leaves the body it is called death. It floats along to another birth, carrying the thoughts of the good, bad deeds and the sense of divinity. The outcome of our actions results in the next birth. The happiness, sadness, sufferings, sickness, healthy life, wealth, family and children are all part of previous actions. This goes on until one gets frustrated of life and yearns to know the cause of birth. Everyone will reach God, but how soon, depends on each individual.
Our mind is the ultimate source of everything. Even our daily meals are decided by our mind before we start to eat. Salvation only takes place when our mind is prepared for it. Our daily prayers, singing the praises of God, doing charity work, caring for the needy, doing japas(rotating the rosary beads) are a sort of motivation for the mind for spiritual upgrading of the feelings. Though due to past deeds (previous life) we might be punished in different ways but why worry for something that has already happened. It is always wise to think and prepare for the future (next life). Gold does not shine when it is dug out from earth, it needs a lot of washing, polishing to glitter, than it is melted into moulds to become ornaments. Similarly, through pains and sufferings our mind is prepared to face the worst and it makes us perfect (wise) in other ways. The messengers of God had suffered in many ways in guiding mankind and the hope of achieving the missions were finally accomplished. This period of time in Hinduism is called Kaliyuga, and meditation (soul/self-identification) is the best way to receive the blessings of God. In one of the sacred books, God has mentioned His name as I am I. Meditation analyses it. In previous yugas, yoga (practices to activate the main power points inside our body for spiritual advancement), yagna (offering things through the yagna fire to the angels to invoke their blessings) and archana (showering flowers while chanting various names or singing sacred mantras of the deity) were practiced. These are all a sort of thanks-giving to the Supreme Soul seen in different forms by us. These practices were required for the maintenance of the rotational support. (Nature satisfying the needs of mankind and in return mankind adopting the thanks-giving process.) Moreover, the first three yugas were meant for maintenance of Dharma (justice for the world to function efficiently). In kaliyuga, when Dharma subsides to an unrecoverable situation, much destruction takes place in various ways. The only source of purifying oneself and understanding more about the soul, secrets of life and death is meditation. Such fulfillment in spirituality unites our soul with the Supreme Soul (Paramathma). The formless form of God(achieved at the stage called anchana sakra between the two eyebrows). From the starting of creation, every soul enters a body in various forms and experiences its fate. Like a drama held on stage, once the actor finishes his part of the play,he will go behind the screen. When the time comes, he will take on a new character for another drama. This continues until the actor decides to quit or retire. As such, God has made this world a stage for dramas. The misled soul from the Supreme , enters different bodies till it realizes itself as part of the Supreme. During such process, as we go through the changes of time into civilization, God sent many messengers to lead mankind on the right path. Sacred books were written by the messengers as God wished. Those who believed and followed the sacred books identified themselves in groups called Religions. All the sacred books were given by the one God at different stages of time and place where they were required most. In the beginning, each book had quite similar sayings but at the later part of the book there will be new contents according to the period of time. A true devotee of God should not look down (criticize) on any of the sacred books as they were given to mankind as the code of conduct. When it rains, the raindrops falling into the drains, rivers, canals or others will finally flow to the sea. Once it becomes seawater, no one can differentiate it as drain water or river water, etc. As long as you are in each body you are identified as belonging to a different religion but for the soul there is no religion. God is above all religions. Only a purified person(soul) who understands this will reach God. Those days, messengers of God sacrificed their family, friends and happiness to guide others into spirituality. Today many people claim themselves as someone and live a luxurious life. Spirituality is being used to become famous and wealthy. When a true saint-like person stays at one place, you could feel the divine atmosphere. There wont be any natural disasters and it will rain and shine promptly. But now even with many so called saint-like people, you could still see droughts, floods and starvation. Wearing sacred clothes has become a trend for many. Purification of the heart, soul and mind has been misguided in many ways, so as to maintain the followers and popularity. Due to such selfish acts, racial conflicts have arisen. Instead of becoming tolerant (patience), many have become aggressive. Moreover, many are seen fighting for certain rights in holy attires. When a person gets addicted to his desires, knowingly or unknowingly he commits many sins in satisfying himself. When he suffers for his actions, he blames God. Moksha
Moksha, is something that depends on an individual person. A person
who greatly indulges in worldly pleasures will have to take various births for attaining
it. Our good actions, thoughts, piousness, eating habits, clean living and friends become
a part of personal grooming in spiritual life. A
disciple seeking a guru for guidance should understand himself first. The thoughts of your
heart will guide you to the guru of similar thoughts. A person with unhealthy (mind)
habits cannot understand the actions or sayings of a perfect guru. Without understanding
this, many get confused and tend to criticize the guru. Divine knowledge is not gained by certificates or with money. It is something seeded in us to grow like a tree. The divine sight of a great guru can get rid of the ignorance in us; the sacred mantras preached will make us humble by getting rid of the arrogance; the divine knowledge we receive will make the soul glow brighter and the feet of the guru which we touch with respect will forgive our mistakes and guide us towards God(Moksha). This is the sacred relation between a guru and a disciple. If a person could get the right guru ,it is due to his devotion to God and many good deeds in his previous life. By the action and devotion of a good disciple, the guru gains satisfaction.
