The Finger Players Ltd burst into the arts scene in 1996 as Singapore's only active professional puppetry company, reaching out to an average of 35,000 audiences a year. We perform in primary and secondary schools, at childcare centres, in public libraries, community clubs, and since 1997, bi-monthly at the KK Women's and Children's Hospital. We also reach out to children at the Spastic Children's Association School, the Singapore School for The Deaf, Touch Centre for Independent Living and Pertapis Children's Home.
Besides our extensive reach to children in various schools and homes, we have also performed the Battle of Redhill at the Festival of Asia Performing Arts (1997) and Treasures from the Dragon Palace at the Thian Hock Keng Temple.
Besides actively performing in Singapore, we also showcase our work overseas. We have been invited to participate in international puppetry festivals held in Chunchon and Seoul in South Korea, Mistelbach in Austria and Quanzhou in Fujian province of People's Republic of China.
