Beng Tian is the founder of The Finger Players. She worked for two years building the establishment of The Finger Players with The Theatre Practice's tremendous support. Now that The Finger Players has incorporated itself as a non-profit company, she has dedicated herself, full-time, to the running of the company. Effectively bilingual, she has performed in both English and Chinese theatre. Her theatre portfolio includes active participation in Dragon's Quest (Toy Factory, 1991), Lao Jiu (Theatreworks, 1993), Descendents of the Eunuch General (Practice Theatre Ensemble, 1995) and Leng Geh-Mng (Drama Box, 1997) among other productions.

Beng Tian has been a workshop instructor with Raffles Girls' Secondary School for the past three years. She has also taught students of CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' and United World College.
