Dragon Dance, speaks of how good deeds are always repaid, through the tale of how the Golden Dragon brought rain to people suffering from drought by using lightning and thunder to trick the Dragon King into releasing rain. Found out by the Jade Emperor, she was sentenced to be burnt by the very people she had saved, who, of course, could not bear to kill their savior! They burnt a fake dragon instead, and the Golden Dragon was saved by her good deed.
Using rod and shadow puppets, our puppeteers relate the story of the origin of Chinese dragon dance.
