What do we do?
The Young ChangeMakers Scheme was inaugurated in 2005 with the aim of empowering youths on two levels.

(1) Young ChangeMakers (YCM)

The Young ChangeMakers (YCM) is a grant scheme set up to ignite youth passion for community change in Singapore.
It aims to provide seed funding up to 80% of total project cost or $3,000, which ever is lower, and non-monetary support for young people to initiate and implement projects, which benefit the local community and society.
It empowers youth as decision makers and fosters youth development through involvement in these community projects.
Applications are open throughout the year and should be submitted at least one month before the date of the proposed implementation.

YCM is open to any youth or informal youth groups aged 13 to 35 who wish to embark on projects benefiting the community in Singapore, Either as an informal group or as an individual.
Projects are to benefit the local community and society at large.
Content of the project should not be offensive or carry any racial, religious or political implications.
Projects will be carried out on a cost-sharing basis i.e. with other sources of funding beside the Young ChangeMakers. (Please nite: YCM will fund up to a maximum of 80% in total governmental funding)
If your application is successful, a mentor / resource personnel will be assigned to you and your project team to assist you in the implementation of the project.
