2.    What films do you use?

I used the cheapest film on the market. Thus I use Sensia almost exclusively, but occassionally Velvia. I tried the Kodak VS100 for my South America trip and liked the saturation.
Buying rolls of films is still expensive as compared to bulk film. So I recently switched to use bulk film, loading them myself on used canister obtained from the labs. I usedProvia for my trip to Myanmar. I am now using Provia F and Velvia.
For people and record shots, I have no preference on the brand but usually a ASA 100 print film. For wedding, I use Fuji NPH.

3.    What scanner do you use?

I used to have the Nikon Coolscan II slide scanner.
The results are usually excellent. However, it shows the limitation of 24 bit when scanning details in shadows and the blacks are 'dirty'.
To use the scanner, you have to buy a SCSSI card seperately and only a few specific models are compatible. This will burn your wallet another S$250 and the hassle to install.

I'm now using the HP Photosmart S20 which cost about S$800. It has a USB connection and thus no SCSSI card is required. It is a 36 bit slide & print scanner which   receives equally good review as the highend Nikon LS2000 that cost almost S$3000!

4.    How do you produce such small size graphic files?

First, I save them as high resolution TIF files which are about 5MB. I'll do the necessary colour adjustment with an image software to much the orginal color of the slides. I'll then reduce the size and save them as JPG. The resulting size will then be about 20K - 50K.

5.    Can I use your images?
