Leap into Literature

This programme aims to introduce students to the study of literature through reading and responding to a range of texts.
The student centred learning is initiated by teacher instruction. All students are exposed to a range of literary texts and will be encouraged to respond on a personal level to what is read. There will be opportunities for creative writing. At the end of the programme, participants will have been introduced to a comprehensive range of literary terms and will have produced literature of their own.| What is literature? |

This nine-hour programme takes students through everything they need to know
about writing compositions. It is aimed at students who are preparing to take
their streaming exam.

A power packed 10 hour programme dealing with grammar from a very practical
perspective. It is accompanied by language games to reinforce the written
practices. "Wild and Wonderful Words" is interactive,
memorable and fun. The programme aims are for the students to:

Three hours cross curricular activity for $500 per class/
$12 per student.
The project is mentally challenging for all levels and involves students
planning their survival using "cue" cards and "help" cards.
Everyone has a map and must make a raft that gets tested for seaworthiness!
